The best time to depart
Planning a trip to Thailand should start with the timing – the dry, rainless season runs from November to February. This is the best time for sightseeing and relaxation, but the full sun doesn't always translate to attractive prices. The high tourist numbers mean higher prices during this period, so it's definitely worth planning your trip well in advance. The highest prices will be around Christmas and New Year, with prices dropping slightly towards February. If you don't mind a brief period of rain during the day, around May is also a good time to visit Thailand, and prices will be very affordable then.

Where to fly?
If you're planning a trip to islands and cities, logistically it's better to start with the islands. There, you can rest and relax, and then finish with Bangkok – a city where wealth and splendor intertwine with poverty and destitution.
A must-see for a first visit is Phuket, just over an hour's flight from Bangkok. It's Thailand's largest island. All your dreams of turquoise waters, lush vegetation, and beautiful sunshine will come true the moment you set foot on a sandy beach. However, if sightseeing is more your thing, you won't be disappointed by the island's architecture and landscapes.

Relaxed and rested, you head out into the city. Bangkok welcomes you with aromas and scents unlike any other. One of the biggest attractions of vibrant Bangkok is a stroll along Khao San – one of the most famous entertainment streets. You'll visit clubs, bars, shop for souvenirs, and the aroma of Thai cuisine wafting around every corner will make your taste buds go wild and your stomach suddenly churn.
Not far from Khao San are the Grand Palace, which was the residence of the King of Thailand until the mid-20th century. Entry is only permitted in appropriate attire – long trousers or a skirt, and covered shoulders and shoes – and the Wat Pho temple, whose main attraction is a colossal statue of a reclining Buddha.
Another important stop on your trip is Chiang Mai – a magical place in northern Thailand. It's a major cultural and religious center, renowned for its pleasant atmosphere and beautiful, colorful scenery. The city is nestled among mountains. The climate here isn't as harsh as in the south of the country. The city abounds with beautiful temples, museums, markets, pubs, restaurants, and many other attractions.
The list of places to visit in Thailand is much longer, but consider transport connections and the order in which you want to visit beforehand. Distances are long, and there are plenty of interesting attractions to see.

Be careful
"Bargain prices" on various tickets and passes offered by street touts are often an attempt to rip off tourists unfamiliar with Thai prices and customs. Also, be wary of taxi drivers, who don't always know where they're going and charge high transportation costs. It's worth familiarizing yourself with the map, familiarizing yourself with the currency exchange rate, developing the habit of haggling, and mastering the art of saying no, lest your suitcase end up bursting at the seams with jewelry, "suits," and other precious Thai treasures.

You have to buy it
They say you can bring one set of clothes to Thailand and you'll come back with twenty more. There's something to that! There's no shortage of clothes there; they'll even make them custom-made for you from a multitude of available materials, in a variety of colors and textures. Be sure to fill up on fresh tropical fruit. Don't forget the durian – the experience of eating it is truly diverse, and its smell makes it unsuitable for traveling with it, even on public transport. Don't miss the food stalls – Pad Thai, Tom Kha, Tom Yum, or the vibrant and aromatic curry in its various forms are dishes you can't leave Thailand without trying. While the sanitary conditions in food markets may not be impressive, the abundance of chili in dishes will certainly protect your body from bacteria. Thai stalls are brimming with spices, but if you want to recreate the flavors of Thailand at home, don't worry, we've brought them to Poland for you. House of Asia products are readily available and are sure to evoke authentic flavors that will take you back to magical Thailand.
