Are you trying to eat healthily, are on a diet, or perhaps avoiding meat? A poke bowl is the perfect solution for you!

The secret lies in the preparation method. Why?

  1. Vitamins and minerals

As we know, most vitamins and minerals are literally lost at high temperatures. It's estimated that mineral losses during cooking of vegetables and fruits (but not only them) reach around 80%. Therefore, it's not only important what we eat, but also how we prepare our meals. Valuable ingredients are also sensitive to oxygen and light, so it's crucial to buy small quantities and store them properly. Remember, the sooner a product from the field reaches your table, the healthier it is! The source and method of cultivation are equally important in terms of vitamin and mineral content. The more natural and organic, the higher the nutritional value. When preparing poke bowls, use raw vegetables and fruits. The power lies in variety – the more colorful, the greater the chance that your body will receive a wider variety of nutrients. Thinly slice the carrots, onions, and radishes and marinate them in olive oil, your favorite spices, and lemon juice. This will protect the vegetables from oxygen and unnecessary vitamin loss. Vegetables that you don't want to eat raw should be blanched, i.e. poured with boiling water, which will make their structure softer, but still crunchy and full of valuable nutrients.

  1. Time and simplicity

One of the fundamental principles of a healthy diet is regular, I MEAN, REGULAR, eating. Who among us has enough time to watch the clock and spend hours in the kitchen? We remember thousands of keywords and tasks for the day, but we forget about the most important thing – food. Poke bowls offer a solution. Their advantage is speed and simplicity. I guarantee – anyone reaching for a recipe can prepare such a dish in under 15 minutes. What's more, you can add whatever you have at home to the power bowl, without having to run to the store for a single missing ingredient. If you have the opportunity, you can prepare such a dish at work; it's a great alternative to a regular salad or a randomly purchased lunch.

  1. A balanced meal

A properly prepared poke bowl-style meal should contain all the essential macronutrients: protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Simply use oriental rice or soy noodles, add marinated tofu, fried shrimp, or a piece of lean meat, and sprinkle with your favorite seeds or nuts. It's perfect as a light meal after the gym or a leisurely run. The right combination of ingredients will provide us not only with high-quality protein, healthy fats, and energy in the form of carbohydrates, but also valuable dietary fiber. A balanced meal also includes a low glycemic index—suitable for those struggling with impaired glucose tolerance, particularly diabetics and those suffering from insulin resistance.
