Depth of flavor – Furikake spice
Furikake is a Japanese spice characterized by umami taste, most often used as an addition to rice, fried noodles, as well as grilled vegetables and fish, but its uses are limited only by your imagination. Furikake's composition varies depending on its intended use, but the most common ingredient is nori seaweed, which gives the mixture a deep, smoky flavor and aroma. You can make this seasoning yourself by mixing ground nori leaves, toasted white and black sesame seeds, sea salt, sugar, and bonito flakes. Store this mixture in a tightly sealed jar.
P.S. Instead of bonito flakes, you can use dried ones shiitake mushrooms, roasted and ground soybeans or dried fish such as sprats/anchovies.

A crunchy snack – nori chips
This is another use for nori sheets that might make you never reach for classic, salty snacks again. Preparing nori chips is incredibly simple. Simply place a sheet of nori on the counter and spray it with water, then place a second sheet on top, ensuring they stick together. Then, using a brush, spread oil (e.g., sesame oil) over the entire surface of the sheet and cut it into smaller pieces with scissors. Finally, sprinkle with your favorite spices (e.g., salt, paprika, or garlic). Bake the chips in an oven preheated to 140°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes. Let them cool and enjoy your perfectly crispy, aromatic chips!

A unique pasta substitute – soup with nori
Nori is also your ally when preparing soups and broths. Simply cut a sheet of nori into strips of your chosen width and drop them into hot broth. The nori will instantly soften and effectively replace noodles, adding not only a unique texture but also flavor to the soup. Nori noodles pair best with light broths, but don't be afraid to experiment!

Vegan imitation fish – salmon with carrots and nori
With the addition of nori seaweed, you can also prepare a vegan version of salmon! Cut carrots into wavy strips and place in boiling water for 8 minutes. Drain, then marinate in a mixture of ground nori leaves (which will give the dish a "fishy" flavor), water, BBQ sauce, salt, sugar, olive oil, and lemon juice. Let marinate for about 24 hours. The texture and flavor of these carrots will perfectly imitate smoked salmon, making them a great addition to sandwiches or sushi.

An Asian fast food alternative – a burger with nori
Another great way to use nori sheets is to use them in burgers! You have complete freedom – you can prepare sushi burgers using the standard ingredients for these Japanese rolls, but in a new, unconventional form. Another option is to prepare a classic burger, but to give it a unique flavor, simply wrap the meat in a nori sheet and fry the whole thing. To further enhance the Asian flavor, you can lightly season the burger with soy sauce or another sauce, such as Hoisin, Teriyaki i chili.
