Ingredients

  • Sriracha sauce
  • Bread (doesn't have to be toasted) – a slice
  • Butter (or other spread) – 10 grams
  • Favorite toppings (avocado and sunflower sprouts) – weight as desired
  • Salt, pepper
  • Egg – size M or L

A method of preparing

  1. Bake buttered bread in a pan or on an electric grill
  2. Chop the toppings if necessary
  3. Boil heavily salted water. When the water is almost boiling (you'll know by the air bubbles at the bottom), crack an egg into a bowl, stir the water to create a vortex, and gently lower the egg into the center of the vortex from as low a height as possible.
  4. Cook the egg for another 2 minutes, in the meantime, make toast with the bread and toppings.
  5. Remove the egg with a slotted spoon, dry it with paper on the spoon and place it on the toast.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with Sriracha sauce.
