Ramen with soba noodles and bacon
The first thing anyone thinks of when thinking of Japanese food is sushi. However, the inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun love ramen more than sushi. The soup came to the islands from China and has become a popular dish among the Japanese. The base of ramen is noodles and a salty addition of miso paste. All other additions are a personal choice. The soup is enjoyed not only during traditional meals but also in the middle of the night after a good party. In Japan, bars serving only ramen are very popular not only among tourists but also among locals.
Ingredients
- 2 sachets miso paste
- ½ package soba noodles
- 1 nori leaf
- 100 g smoked bacon, cut into slices
- 100 g finely grated carrots
- 1 egg, boiled
- 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
- 100 g young cabbage cut into thick strips
A method of preparing
- Place the egg in cold water. When it begins to boil, cook for another 4 minutes. After this time, cool it in cold water, peel it, and set aside in a cool place.
- Prepare the miso broth according to the instructions on the package.
- Add the chopped bacon and cabbage to the broth, cook for 3 minutes, then set the broth aside.
- Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the packaging.
- Cut the hard-boiled egg into 2 halves.
- In a bowl, place the noodles, bacon, cabbage, carrots, ½ nori leaf, egg, pour in the broth and sprinkle with spring onions.
