Bao buns with chicken and vegetables
Grab this quick recipe for incredibly soft bao buns with wok-style vegetables and Peking duck sauce. With the jarred vegetables, you'll make this dish even more quickly, and our sauce will make the meat in the buns aromatic and delicately sweet. Thank you for the recipe. Ingredients
3 tsp House of Asia Peking Duck Sauce
1 jar House of Asia Wok Vegetables
6 Bao buns
4 tablespoons of oil
400 g chicken fillet cut into thin strips
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 onion, cut into slices
1 clove of garlic
Salt and pepper
ADDITIONALLY:
100 g red cabbage (raw or canned)
1 teaspoon light sesame seeds
Parsley
A method of preparing
1. Add Peking Duck Sauce, granulated garlic, and lime juice to the meat. Mix thoroughly and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken.
3. Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add the onion, and sauté briefly. Add the minced garlic and drained vegetables to the wok. Sauté over high heat for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Steam the bao buns in a bamboo basket, then add the vegetables, meat, and red cabbage to the still-warm buns. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with parsley.
