Chinese-Style Fried Rice with Vegetables in 15 Minutes

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons House of Asia Light Soy Sauce
- 250 g jasmine rice cooked the day before
- 1 carrot, cut into small cubes
- 2 eggs
- ¼ onion, cut into small cubes
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of frozen green peas
- ¼ red bell pepper, cut into small cubes
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons of oil, for frying
- a pinch of black pepper
A method of preparing
- Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the onion and garlic, add the chopped vegetables and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cold rice to the fried vegetables and fry for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Finally, push the rice to one side of the pan and crack the eggs in. Wait until they set, then mix them with the rice. Finally, season with freshly ground pepper.
- Place the finished dish on a plate and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
Tip from the Chef: For perfect Chinese fried rice, use pre-cooked and well-cooled rice—ideally prepared the day before. This will keep the grains loose and prevent them from sticking together during frying, giving the dish the right texture and authentic flavor.
