Duck Chow Mein 5 Flavors
Try a new take on the classic stir-fry dish! Succulent duck marinated in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame, sautéed in aromatic five-spice seasoning, pairs perfectly with vegetables and springy chow mein noodles. Sesame oil and toasted white sesame seeds complete the dish – a flavor that transports you straight to Asia!
Ingredients
- 250 gr Chow Mein noodles
- 1 double duck breast with skin, cleaned and washed
- 2 medium carrots, cut into sticks
- 100 g green peas (frozen)
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
- a bunch of chives, cut into 1 cm pieces
- 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of 5-spice spice
Meat marinade
- 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons of wok oil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds, toasted in a dry pan
- 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil
A method of preparing
- Trim excess fat from the duck breasts. Cut each breast in half lengthwise, then into 0,5cm slices.
- Combine the marinade ingredients. Place the meat in a deep bowl and pour the marinade over it. Set aside in the fridge for 20 minutes
- Add the meat to the heated wok along with the marinade. Stir-fry for 4 minutes.
- Add vegetables and 5-spice seasoning, fry for 2 minutes
- Add the pasta. Stir until the flavors combine.
- Serve sprinkled with chives
