Chinese steamed rice paper dumplings
Quick to prepare, delicate steamed rice paper dumplings are a perfect choice for an oriental meal. They surprise with their lightness and aromatic filling of turkey, mushrooms, and House of Asia spices. Serve them with gyoza sauce – its distinctive, sweet-and-salty flavor perfectly highlights the Asian character of this dish. Perfect for lunch or dinner, ready in under half an hour!
Ingredients
- 1 pack House of Asia rice paper
Stuffing:
- 100 gr Shiitake mushrooms in brine, finely chopped
- 2 tsp House of Asia Garlic, Ginger and Chili Pastes
- 2 tablespoons House of Asia Light Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp House of Asia Chinese Cuisine Spices
- 2 tablespoons House of Asia Oyster Sauce
- 300 g ground turkey meat
- 1 carrot, grated on a coarse grater
- 50 g finely chopped spring onions
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
To serve:
- House of Asia gyoza sauce
- Finely chopped chives
A method of preparing
- Place the ground beef in a bowl. Add the carrots, garlic, ginger, and chili paste, mushrooms, chives, and cilantro. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and season with pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Lightly moisten a sheet of paper with water. Add a spoonful of filling and roll it up. Repeat until all the filling is used up.
- Steam the prepared dumplings for about 12 minutes.
