Kimchi pancakes
Crispy pancakes with a hint of Asia! Kimchi pancakes are the perfect combination of crunch and subtle spiciness. Thanks to kimchi paste and fresh vegetables, this quick recipe will take your taste buds on a culinary journey to Korea. Ready in just 15 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 sachet House of Asia spicy kimchi paste
- 200 g of squeezed kimchi cabbage
- 1 egg
- 200 g wheat flour
- 200 g of sparkling water
- 20 g finely chopped green onions
- A few coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- Vegetable oil
- 50 g carrots cut into thin strips
- 50 g onion, thinly sliced
- To taste: salt and freshly ground black pepper
Sauce to serve:
- 20 gr House of Asia spicy kimchi paste
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
- Juice from 1/2 lime
A method of preparing
- Dice the kimchi into small cubes and transfer to a bowl. Add the vegetables, spring onion, and cilantro and mix thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, pour the water, add the flour, and egg. Mix well. Then add the baking powder, kimchi paste, and chopped vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
- Form pancakes with a spoon in a heated pan and fry for a few minutes on each side.
- Mix the sauce ingredients well and serve with the prepared pancakes.
TIP: Instead of Kimchi Paste, you can use House of Asia Kimchi Sauce in this recipe.
