Patties with cabbage and shiitake mushrooms
Looking for a quick and easy snack for New Year's Eve or a carnival party? You've come to the right place! Our chef has an idea for quick puff pastry patties made with our aromatic shiitake mushrooms, and other ingredients that will make the dish easier and more flavorful.
Ingredients
2-3 tablespoons Light soy sauce House of Asia
2 tablespoons Oyster sauce House of Asia
30 g dried Shiitake Mushrooms House of Asia
3 tsp House of Asia Garlic Pastes or 3-4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 spoon House of Asia Black Sesame
1 package of puff pastry
500 g sauerkraut, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 eggs
3-4 tablespoons of oil
Black pepper to taste
A method of preparing
1. Place the shiitake mushrooms in a pot, cover with cold water, put on the heat and bring to a boil, then set aside (preferably overnight), reserving the mushroom water.
2. Slice the mushrooms into strips and sauté in oil with the onion and garlic paste for 3-4 minutes. Then add the cabbage and sauté for another 8-10 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, add the mushroom water and wait for it to evaporate. Finally, season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper. Let the filling cool, then add 1 egg and mix everything together.
3. Divide the puff pastry lengthwise into two pieces. Spread the filling evenly on each piece and roll it up, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with black sesame seeds, cut into pieces of about 4-5 cm and place flat on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
4. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
