Craving a healthy and unique fish dish? Steam it to make it juicy and easy to digest. For an Asian twist and an interesting flavor, stuff the fish with ginger paste, chili, and green onion. Less than 30 minutes, just a few ingredients, and this delicious dish is ready.
Ingredients
- 2-3 dried soaked Mun mushrooms
- 1 spoon ginger paste or 2 cm chopped ginger
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon 0sesame oil
- 500 g cod fillet
- 4 green onions
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
- ½ teaspoon chopped fresh chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 50 ml of oil
A method of preparing
- Make sure the fish is scale-free and thoroughly gutted. Wash and dry it inside and out with paper towels. Score both sides of the fish diagonally, about 2,5 inch apart. Then rub the inside and outside with salt and sesame oil.
- Mix the mushrooms with green onions, ginger paste, chili powder, and season with soy sauce. Stuff the fish with half the filling, spooning the remaining mixture over the fish. Place on a plate in a hot steamer and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a small saucepan until it begins to boil. Remove the fish from the steamer, arrange the scallions on top, drizzle with the remaining soy sauce, then pour the hot oil along the length of the fish. Serve hot.
