Steamed shrimp in a bamboo steamer
Perfectly cooked shrimp? Learn how to prepare them in a steamer. Steaming makes them easier to digest and lower in calories than fried shrimp. Served with a sauce based on soy sauce, ginger, and garlic paste, they're the perfect snack for gatherings with friends.
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon garlic paste or 2 cloves of chopped garlic
- ½ teaspoon ginger paste or 2 cm chopped ginger
- 1 spoon light soy sauce
- 12 peeled and cleaned shrimps (16×20)
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons of broth
- A few drops of sesame oil
- Fresh coriander
A method of preparing
- Place the shrimp on a large plate in a steamer and cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok or small saucepan, add the garlic paste, ginger paste, green onion, and chili pepper, and sauté for 30 seconds. Then add the remaining ingredients and simmer for about a minute.
- Place the shrimp on a plate and pour the sauce over them, sprinkle with cilantro and drizzle with sesame oil.
