Gyoza dumplings with pork and vegetables for wok
Steamed gyoza dumplings are a small but flavorful dish that will take you on a culinary journey through Japan. These small, aromatic dumplings, filled with juicy chunks of ground pork and crispy wok-cooked vegetables, are perfect as a snack or a main course.
Ingredients
1 jar House of Asia Wok Vegetables
1 teaspoon House of Asia Garlic Pastes
1 teaspoon House of Asia Japanese Cuisine Spices
16 sheets of ready-made wonton dough
150 g minced pork
50 g finely chopped spring onions
1 egg
frying oil
House of Asia Gyoza Sauce to be served
1 tablespoon finely chopped spring onions, to serve
A method of preparing
1. Transfer the vegetables to the wok in a sieve, rinse under running water, drain, and pat dry. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables with garlic paste.
2. Place the meat in a bowl, add the egg, spring onion, spices, and vegetables. Mix thoroughly. Using a spoon, spoon the filling into the center of the dough and form into dumplings.
3. Steam for about 5 minutes. Serve with gyoza sauce and fresh scallions.
TIP: You can use a bamboo steamer to prepare the dumplings.
