Cod in Chinese-style tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 1 House of Asia Wok Vegetables
- 1 teaspoon House of Asia Chinese Cuisine Spices
- 1 teaspoon House of Asia Sesame Oil
- 400 g cod fillets
- 100 g tomato sauce
- 50 g of ketchup
- 20 g onion cut into thin strips
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely diced
- 10 g ginger, cut into thin strips
- 50 ml of any broth
- 2 tablespoons of oil for frying
A method of preparing
- Pour cold water over the vegetables in the wok and drain off any excess water.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Add the onion, ginger, and garlic and fry for about 2-3 minutes. Add the vegetables to the wok and the sliced fillets. Fry for 2 minutes on each side. Then add the broth, tomato sauce, and ketchup. Season with Chinese spices to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat. Finally, drizzle with sesame oil and stir.
- Remove the fish to a plate. Gently reduce the remaining sauce in the pan until the excess liquid evaporates. Pour the prepared sauce over the fish.
TIP. Instead of fish, you can use shrimp or tofu.
