Kimchi tart combines crispy puff pastry, a creamy filling, and spicy kimchi. Quick, easy, and full of umami! Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a snack with friends. Serve warm or cold—it tastes delicious either way!
Ingredients
- 200 gr Kimchi House of Asia
- 1 spoon House of Asia Light Soy Sauce
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 2 eggs
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 100 g cream 30-36%
- A handful of finely chopped green onions
- 100 g grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- Frying oil
A method of preparing
- Squeeze the kimchi well to remove the brine.
- Prepare two 20 cm diameter baking tins (or one larger one) and grease them thoroughly with butter.
- Fill the tins with the dough, trimming off any excess. Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork, top with dried peas or beans, and bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes.
- Pour a little oil into a pan and sauté the chopped shallot and garlic. Set aside to cool.
- Break the eggs into a bowl, season with soy sauce, add the cheese and spring onions and mix thoroughly.
- Place the sautéed shallots and garlic on the bottom of the baked tarts, followed by the squeezed kimchi. Pour the egg mixture over the top and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, until the mixture is completely set.
- Allow the hot tartar to cool. It tastes delicious both warm and cold.
