- 100g surimi
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 3 tablespoons of finely chopped spring onions
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander
A method of preparing
- Cook the rice according to the package directions, season with rice sauce, sesame seeds and chili flakes.
- Unwrap the surimi and dice it into small cubes. Transfer to a bowl and add the cilantro, scallions, mayonnaise, and Sriracha sauce.
- Wet both hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking.
- Scoop some warm rice into your hands. Make a small indentation in the rice and add the prepared surimi filling and wasabi paste.
- Then, cover the filling with rice and shape it into a triangle. Attach a cut piece of nori leaf to each prepared onigiri.
- Serve sprinkled with spring onions and chili flakes.
TIP: You can make shaping onigiri easier by using ready-made onigiri molds.
