Yakitori skewers
A classic Japanese street food in your kitchen! Yakitori skewers are juicy pieces of chicken marinated in an aromatic blend of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and chili, then grilled until golden brown. Brushed with House of Asia's Yakitori sauce during cooking, they acquire a unique depth of flavor. Served with a dash of fresh cilantro, they're the perfect snack for a get-together with friends or a family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 sachet House of Asia Yakitori Sauce
- 600 g boneless, skinless chicken drumstick meat
Marinade:
- 4 tablespoons House of Asia Light Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp House of Asia Garlic, Ginger and Chili Pastes
- 2 tablespoons House of Asia Oyster Sauce
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
To serve:
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
A method of preparing
- Prepare the marinade by combining all the ingredients.
- Cut the chicken into larger pieces, marinate it and place in the fridge for 45 minutes.
- Thread the meat onto skewers and grill until golden brown, about 10 minutes per side. Brush the skewers with yakitori sauce while grilling.
- Sprinkle the finished skewers with coriander.
