Ingredients
- 2 tsp House of Asia Ginger Pastes or 30 g grated ginger root
- 2 tablespoons House of Asia Garlic Pastes or 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 200 g jasmine rice
- 1 kg of raw bacon
- 1 bunch of chopped spring onions
- 1 red onion, sliced into strips
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
SOS:
- 6 tablespoons House of Asia Light Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons House of Asia Dark Soy Sauce
- 3 tablespoons House of Asia Rice Vinegar
- 300 ml of water after cooking the bacon
- Chopped coriander
A method of preparing
- Cook the rice according to the instructions.
- First cut the bacon into 1,5 cm thick slices, then into pieces of about 2 cm.
- Place the bacon in a pot, cover with cold water, and cook until tender, about 60 minutes. Remove the cooked bacon from the water and place in a bowl. Don't throw away the cooking water; it will be useful for the sauce.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl, if it is too salty add more water.
- In a wok, melt the sugar until it caramelizes. Then add the bacon, onion, spring onion, garlic paste, ginger paste, and the sauce, and simmer until it evaporates. Serve with rice.
